Our vision combines New Orleans inspired recipes with handpicked top-notch local ingredients. We are Cincinnati's only New Orleans inspired gastro pub and we are passionate about staying true to those roots. Our late 19th century riverside building beckons our guests to come in for one of 23 all craft beers on draft, a house made craft cocktail or one of our lovely small production wines. However, the food is the star at BrewRiver. Chef Michael Shields, who worked with Emeril Lagasse for six years in New Orleans and Atlanta, has created a menu of made from scratch ingredients, with recipes that pay homage to both Cincinnati and New Orleans. Classic creole dishes, such as Oyster Po Boys, New Orleans Barbecue Shrimp, Muffulettas, Gumbo and Eggs Sardou, are just a few examples from our incredible menu. We also have gained quite a reputation for our burgers, including several local awards. Our burger meat is a proprietary blend from Neil Luken at Findlay Market and that burger deserves the best bun in town, the one and only Sixteen Bricks Artisan Bakers' burger bun. Everything in between, is housemade and flavor packed! BrewRiver GastroPub serves only Gulf Oysters and Gulf Shrimp and our Fish of the Day, is always the freshest line-caught fish we can find. Sunday morning we have New Orleans Brunch from 10 till 3, with our house-made bacon infused cake doughnuts, served with local honey drizzle! Need we say more? Maybe just a few more things... Our outdoor patio is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink and an amazing meal! You may be lucky enough to wander in on a night where a blues, folk or jazz musician is playing! Our goal is to give you a little bit of The Big Easy right here in The Queen City! We hop you will come join us and Laissez les bon temps roulez!
Our Chef and Partner, Michael Shields, is a graduate of our own Midwest Culinary Institute and spent 6 years working under the tutelage of Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans and Atlanta. He has spent his entire adult life working as a Chef and is excited to bring his vast knowledge to the table at BrewRiver GastroPub.
