Supporting “local” isn’t just about local food and drink. It’s also about the idea that when we support one another fully, there are no boundaries to consider and no lines to cross. Our focus is to find and serve what is best for our guests because we care about what they put in their bodies. Our aim is to deliver an inspiring & accessible culinary experience at a value that has our guests saying, “we gotta come back as soon as possible” for all the right reasons.
To use the freshest ingredients, and source them locally whenever possible.
To support local farmers, growers, brewers, distillers and vintners in growing and promoting their crafts.
To continually seek out and serve the best, most interesting libations available.
To provide every guest a truly authentic gastropub experience.
Every item on our menu has a beer and wine style pairing suggestion as a place to get started, because everyones palate is different. We feature hand picked boutique and esoteric wines from select vineyards around the world, 23 Craft Beer taps, and an excellent selection of craft beers in bottles and cans as well. The best advice is to trust your instincts, ask questions for our knowledgeable staff, and have FUN, you might just discover something new!
Respect your taste buds! They can get confused when we throw too much at them at once.
Pick a narrow range of varieties to experience the subtle differences between similar varieties, different recipes and different brewing styles.
Start light! Beginning with a lighter, crisper beer and working your way toward darker, fuller-bodied brews will give you a more accurate taste for the unique character and flavor of each beer. It is commonly a good idea to have a sip of water in between tastes to cleanse the palate.
Unless you want to experience the different ways brewers in various countries handle a single variety (e.g. stouts from England, Ireland, Germany and the U.S.), it is generally a good idea to avoid mixing beers from different countries in a single tasting.
Our “Theater Room” is a special space that we make available for private parties of up to 24 guests. This is a thematic room handcrafted by the owners at BrewRiver inspired by the many generous contributions of some of our closest friends and biggest supporters. This one-of-a-kind room is a special tribute to our city’s rich theatrical history and a celebration of our support for our close friend’s and family’s many connections to the local performing arts and entertainment groups in Cincinnati. Displayed are over 100 of the original advertisements from Cincinnati’s many theaters which were actually published in the Cincinnati Enquirer in the 30′s & 40′s. These images depict many of the actors and actresses, musicians and thespians who made these shows so memorable here in Cincinnati.
We have completed construction on The Chef’s Patio, where guests can view the restaurant operation and the river in an elevated way. The ambiance is fabulous and the energy near the gardens and tall trees is a captivating behind-the-scenes way to spend time with family, friends, and loved-ones over a great meal.
The now completed herb & vegetable beds are producing as well. We’ve planted chives, dill, flat leaf parsley, cilantro, lavender, lemon balm, mint, garlic, basil, peppers, tomatoes, oregano, onion, thyme, rosemary, artichokes, sage, heirloom tomatoes, beets, ramp, fennel, pickling cucumbers and peppers, as well as nasturtiums and rhubarb.
Every Tuesday-Friday from 3-6pm and Saturday-Sunday from 3-5pm our draft pours are only $2.95! This truly is a craft beer lovers happy hour!
